Blog Task 3 - What is a Title Sequence?

A title sequence is crucial when making a film. They are supposed to set the overall theme of the movie and make the audience feel like they're there, within the film, or feel connected to it in some way; emotionally invested or simply just interested.
They set the tone and atmosphere for the film to come and are supposed to be bold and memorable - a form of entertainment which reveals important aspects of the film to you, such as introducing the main characters or hinting at the plot. Some title sequences even have a deeper meaning, act as a metaphor or are just philosophical.
They not only make use of actual content but also sound and credits to convey a feeling/theme. Most credits that title sequences include, aside from the title of the film, are: the main cast, the directors, producers, casting crew, and sometimes even things such as the photographers and costume designers.
