Production: Blog Task 43 - Production Diary (Reflection) Editing Session 02/03/15

Today (Monday the 2nd of March) we continued with the editing process. We added the remaining shots which we filmed on Wednesday the 25th. We added this scene after we published the 2nd rough-cut. During this session we had a lot of problems with editing. When inserting the title credits over our clips we saw that we spelt one name wrong which was a quick fix as it was only one name. We also encountered a major problem with the timeline. Whenever we was trying to add a clip to our opening title sequence, our timeline would get over written. This happened about 3 times until we called our IT technician to help us to solve our problem.

After we sorted out the timeline, we encountered another problem while inserting clips to our timeline. With the clips we inserted we had a problem with both the video and the audio. They were inserted separately which, meant that they were not synced. This caused a lot of stress as what ever clip we put the same problem occurred. We called the IT technician again to see if he could help us to solve this problem. He left to research why that happened and came back with why it has happened. (It was because the buttons on the bottom left side of the screen were clicked which destroyed the whole clip by not making it sync). He fixed the problem and we continued to edit and create more foley sounds by using Garage Band e.g. noises which were made in school like talking. 

Despite all the problems we had, we did get a lot done which was good as this meant we could spend more time to editing and creating sound.

During this week we hope to finish filming by Wednesday the 4th and in Thursdays lesson add the clips and the sounds and improve any mistakes for our final cut to be successful.
