Production: Blog Post 43 - Production Diary (Reflection) Final Filming Session 04/03/15

Today after college we filmed the final scene we needed of Lindsey(Abby) and Jakub (Ezhno), this is where Jakub (Ezhno) wakes up from the dream and then they talk very briefly about the homework they have, where lindeys character Abby figures out the scar on Jakubs (Ezhno) hand.

This was the last footage we needed to complete our film and to import it into our editing where we use the software Final Cut Pro. We did encounter problems today while we were trying to film. A major problem was the weather as it was sunny we had problems on the location we chose to film because of the brightness/shadows (next to the benches inside college). We had a long debate on where we should film, we went back and fourth deciding which location to use. The reason we had this problem was because of the camera we were using as it was not suitable to film in the sunlight. We waited until the sun had gone down from the area we were filming. Once the sun was gone we began to film our final scene.

Both myself and Ogo were filming in todays session. We filmed in many different angles today, we did over the shoulder shots on both Lindsey and Jakub and did a close up shot of Jakubs face when he woke up from the dream to see his facial expression. We shot the scenes more than twice as there were people going in and our of the shots we were filming, this made it look rough and unprofessional, also students from our college disrupted our filming by entering the shots we were taking on purpose, another reason why we kept on reshooting was because both Lindsey and Jakub kept on laughing. After many takes we finally got the shots we needed, we did want to film one more section but the camera we were using run out of battery, and we couldn't replace the battery as we were using Jakubs camera.

Eventhough we did encounter problems we filmed our final scene and got what we needed. This means that we are finished filming and we can spend the rest of the time on editing and sound.

On Thursdays lesson 5th of March, myself, Lindsey and Jakub are going to come in early to do extra editing and sound while Ogo is in her lesson.
