Today was the last editing session in class. Our editing session didn't go as planned as we had timing issues. Myself, Ogo and Lindsey started with the editing process. Myself and Ogo chose and selected the soundtrack (music) which, we will be using for our opening title sequence. While we was doing this, Lindsey added the voice overs to our film (which we previously recorded). Searching for soundtracks was an easy process (we used youtube) as we knew what we were looking for, it was also a easy process for me because, i previously had done research on soundtracks when planning for our film. Once Lindsey completed adding the voice overs, we had a problem with them as Ogos section was not in sync with the moving image (the shot of her talking). We didn't know how to solve this problem, which meant that we couldn't complete this stage in this lesson. Because out time was limited, we decided to get other things done, so myself and Ogo converted the soundtrack from youtube into a mp4 file. We completed this process by using clipgrab, which converted our chosen soundtrack, we them imported the music into our film.
Searching for the soundtrack was one of the successful stages in editing. Even-though we did come across the copy-right problem. We solved this by realising that the soundtrack we chose had the terms and condition which, me and Ogo read after reading it we had permission to use it as, we weren't using it for other reasons which were stated.
Because myself, Lindsey and Jakub had lessons after Media we couldn't stay back to help Ogo with the editing and sound. I came out of lesson twice (where i got permission from my teacher) to check up on Ogo and see if she needed any help. When i came she had searched more soundtracks which were suitable for our theme and genre.
Myself, Lindsey and Ogo came back to the media room to do more editing, to complete our film by the deadline which was on Friday the 6th of March. We couldn't complete the editing as the college closed at 5pm which meant that we had little time to edit. Myself and Ogo decided that we would wake up extra early to come to college and do a bit more work on editing. As a group we were going to sacrifice any free time we had to complete our opening title sequence and to fix any errors before the deadline.
