Production: Blog Post 43 - Production Diary (Reflection) Editing Session 04/03/15

After filming our final scene for our opening title sequence. Round 3:45 - 4:00 o'clock we went upstairs to the editing suite in college. We wanted to import our clips to our video drive so we that we had a back up, after doing this we tried to eject the SD card and our video drive but our mac computer crashed. We had to restart the computer. We used another mac which was available where we loaded our footage which we just took, and opened our movie via Final Cut Pro to begin editing.

We watched our footage and deleted the ones which were not suitable or the ones which we took as bloopers. We did have problems with the crop lines which we had in our timeline. Some of the crop lines were distorted and some did not appear. Whilst Jakub was blogging videos of what we were doing, myself, Ogo and Lindsey continued with the editing process. We put the footage which we took today in order for it to be easier for us for tomorrows editing session so we could know which scene goes where. We were not so happy on how the sequence was playing as the clips looked very jumpy and this made it more unprofessional.

Myself and Ogo also took photographs of us filming which I will upload on Sunday 8th of March on my flickr account.

Overall I think that doing this editing was needed as we had all our footage on the timeline, this makes it easier for us to edit on Thursdays lesson. I think we got a lot done today and I believe it was very beneficial for all of us.

Here is a short video to show what we were discussing while editing:
